Jackass Vineyard
Russian River Valley
This vineyard was already planted on the property purchased by Giuseppe Martinelli in 1889 when he first arrived from Italy. He loved this area, now known as Martinelli Valley, because it reminded him of his home land of Tuscany. This vineyard also has steep slopes of 55 degrees and is non-terraced as well as dry farmed. This vineyard is slightly older than Jackass Hill, though we do not know the exact year it was planted before Giuseppe purchased it. He then planted Jackass Hill shortly after buying this property.
