This property was part of Giuseppe and Luisa’s original ranch on Martinelli Road. They at one point had to sell this parcel to a neighbor and used the money to pay the property tax on the rest of the land. In 2016, their grandson, Lee Martinelli Sr., purchased the land, bringing it back into our family estate. The following year, he planted 4 acres of Pinot Noir on a high ridge line, and Sky Ridge vineyard was born. He planted for the first time the clone Mt. Eden, continuing to experiment with new strategies to make the best and uniquely site driven Pinot Noirs.
